Perth Women’s Health, founded by Dr Padma and Dr Soundaram, offers gynaecological and obstetric care that focuses on the patient’s needs.

Dr Padma and Dr Soundaram both grew up in India, where they met and became a couple. They bring a wealth of experience from prestigious institutions such as JIPMER New Delhi and AIIMS New Delhi, and the Northwest London Deanery under the RCOG training program.
Both their parents played an important role in their careers.
“We both come from large families, and all our siblings studied at university and have professional careers. Our parents were dedicated to making sure their children had the best education, and for that we are very grateful.”

About Dr Padma
Dr Padma’s medical expertise extends to a broad range of women’s health issues, including cervical screening, colposcopy, LLETZ treatment and the management of conditions like heavy or painful periods, menopause, fibroids, and PCOS.
Additionally, Dr Padma is skilled in addressing various vulval problems, such as lichen sclerosis and vulvodynia.
Dr Padma’s approach is holistic, combining medical excellence with a deep commitment to listening and responding to the needs and concerns of her patients, ensuring a personalised and supportive healthcare journey.

About Dr Soundaram
Dr Soundaram is a gynaecologist-obstetrician with a special interest in high-risk pregnancies and laparoscopic surgery, including laparoscopic hysterectomy, and hysteroscopic surgery.
Dr Soundaram also has a keen interest in fertility and preconception.
Just like Dr Padma, his approach to patient care is focused on listening and understanding, making sure that each consultation is centred around your individual needs. Never rushing through the appointments, Dr Soundaram makes sure you feel heard and respected.
